Although the old dorm is used for storage only these days, there are still signs that it once was the site of many of our camp memories.

Dinner, around 1965
Wasn't it nice to be in the front of the line and eat while the rest just waited in line with their stomaches growling? I am sure Bill Barton (cute guy standing in the center) would have loved to trade places with Greg Heavner (seated left)! Of course the girls were all glad to be seated with Greg, he was one of the Mr. Hotties of this era along with Bill and several others.
Girls at the table - far side with Greg are Carla Patton, Carolyn Stever, Margaret Iberg, near side from the left appears to be Janet Gum ?, Kathy Bodouris ? , Paula Bush and maybe Marilyn Carter. At the rear of the line with Bill is Elaine Seigel and could the girl in the checked dress in front of him be Connie Plog? Can anyone fill in the rest of the names or verify the iffy ones?

Old friends from Junior Camp more than 40 yrs ago
Back row: Paula Bush, Margaret Iberg, Linda Hill. Front row Carla Patton, Janet Gum, Deb Fritz. The Greenville girls (all but Deb) started calling Deb "Mom" their first year of Junior Girls Week because she was a year ahead of them in school. Her parents became "Aunt Lois" and "Uncle Bob". Jan hosted the reunion this past weekend.
And at least some of the same faces here -- 2 Linda Hill, 5 margaret Iberg, 6 Debbie Fritz. (others in the photo 1 Terry Wall, 3 Susan Hentz, 4 Kathy Hutchinson, and 7 Cindy Huffman.) Either Jan or I must have been taking the photo! - PaulaI am not sure why a Belleville girl was allowed in with this Greenville crew! -Deb
And this of Kathy Boudouris, another friend, Paula, Linda and Janet.
Here is one from High School Week 1966, front row with Carla, Janet, Kathy, Margaret and Paula.
What a weekend!
On this past Friday Paula (Bush) McElwee was met in St. Louis by Holly (Harden) Adams and Deb (Fritz) Monroe; the three proceded to the camp for a marathon of research through the camp files for pictures and information for this blog. Here we are in front of the old girls dorm.
Work continued into Saturday, then a Greenville Girls reunion at Janet Gum's (photo coming -- see April 29th post) then a visit to Greenville First Christian Church where we got a some more choice photos.
Be patient as we get these to you. It will be great fun for all of us. New photos include recent years. We were pleased to find that the three of us -- plus a good friend who has gone on to be with Jesus -- were together in this Life Recruit week shot. Jan Foutch, Debbie Fritz, Holly Harden, Paula Bush.
So check in. And arrange your own camp-related reunions -- it is great fun!
