1959 Fun and games

In the first pic, Ron Holzhauer is jumping. In the second, Ron Hagler and the third is Doris Rush. Charolette Schroeder is throwing a softball for distance.

1959 camp is fun!

Doris Rush is the "center" here.

Who can you identify in this early group?

1958 Color -- fall gathering, annual meeting

This fall gathering (I'm not sure of the occasion) happened in 1958. You can see Tom Ewald, Wilson and Fred Wiseman and Dick Thayer. Seth Wilson is sitting on the back of a bench. Leann Williams is using the hoop.

Vespers, 1969

Box hockey. Age? Year? Names?

I believe that the boy in stripes playing is my cousin Joe Schmidt, just behind him is David Booth and farthest to the right near the equipment shed is Steve Milligan.  I think this would have been about 1968.

HS 1969 class

John Heston and Scott Cain in the back row. Jane Whited far end of middle row. Other names? Anyone ID those sideburns on the teacher?

1969 John Rawls

1969 High School Week

Believe this is also another shot of a previous post.

Another Campfire pic, High School Week, 1969

I think we may have posted another view of this same campfire. Help me look?

I used a search for Steve Mueller to find the other picture ... February 6, 2008 was the posting date.

Let us hear from you...

It has been awhile since we have posted here. Although there are visitors most every day, new pics have not been forthcoming. So here is one of us at Paula's daughter's wedding -- to keep things going

If you have camp photos and you don't have them in digital format, please share anyway! We will scan and post them. Leave a comment on the guest book or contact us by email. The predominance of photos are Frank Bush's but your snapshots and memories are welcome here as well. Hope you will share.

Note from Leroy Thompson

It is fun to keep finding people we knew from camp. Here are some thoughts Leroy emailed recently:

I've beem looking at your pics from the old days at Bond. It has sent me into a whirlwind of reminiscing. Think for just a moment of the people in that group of friends from Bond that week: You, very effective Christian leaders; Pat H. a great local minister in his own right; Rick W, a prof and dean; and myself, a prof of ministry and chaplain. Think about this....a poor Little camp in the hills of Southern IL, a nowhere place really, in single typical week of camp that nobody noticed or remembered--just another week. Add to that Christian teenagers struggling to find themselves and their direction in life but committed to serving their Lord. Out of that seemingly unimportant event came Christian leaders. Pretty amazing, really. Who knows what God is doing even now?! Please excuse the reminiscences of a sentimental aging guy but I think it is also true.
