Life Recruit Week Group Picture

John Beck offered the following:
Aug. 10th Life Recruit Week (top photo)

Row 2, second from left - Richard Applegate
Row 2, third from left - Brenda Zumwalt
Row 2, 9th from left - My wife says that's me. (I
never can pick myself out of these photos like she
can.)
Row 3, 13th from the left - Gary Thornburgh
Row 2, second from right - Geneva Zumwalt
Row 3, far right - Bob Kelly
Row 1, 10th from left (center) - Mary Knichel (She
always wore those cute hats.)

Thanks again for sharing these. They have not only
brought back pleasant memories, but created some
interesting discussions with our kids. Growing up in
Ecuador, their church camp experience was slightly
different (smile).

Not sure of the year - early '60s

We posted an earlier picture of "throw Charlie in the lake." This was taken at the same time, but shows the faces better. The man on the right is Carrol Lankston, a missionary to Mexico.
This class (I think) was being taught by Bill Griffin

1967? Ed Hayden and a trip to the Arch

Let me guess, Candee -- leading us in "Amen" I bet!

Ed Hayden chose a quiet spot to type his editorial for the Christian Standard. Life Recruit Week.

1960 Modern Bible Drama

During Life Recruit weeks, we decided to try something different than Bible Drama. We asked the teams to do Bible Parodies– take a Bible story and do a modern version of it. I think this picture might be one of those Bible Parodies.

Kitchen in 1957 or 1958

This picture must be early (1957 or 58). Dick Thayer (tall in back with glasses) came in 1957. The wash tubs were used only for a couple of years.

1960's - help with dates?

I don't know what meeting this was. The speaker is Woody Phillips. He was a prof in Ozark at the time, but later became president of Pacific Christian College.

1960 Camp Board and Auxillary

The camp board consisted of representatives from all the participating churches. This meeting was held at the camp, and included dinner and a Ladies' Auxillary. Some great shots of the people who (often behind the scenes) made camp possible.
