Group from 1967 -- last of the cereals?

Deb was working on this project. We posted rosters and photos in May of three of the "cereal" teams from this week of camp. Dad just sent me these scanned photos, and the only one I didn't find is the one above. I thought all were posted but maybe I mis-remembered. Deb?

In first corn-eating contest picture, the second boy, in dark shirt is Robbie Schreiber and the girl is Cindy Harden. Notice the "H" on her blouse? "Initial blouses" were all the rage then!

In the second picture, notice off to the left, a smiling Dan Williams ( I love that picture, it is the Dan we all remember! I can just hear his laugh!) and to his right, in dark blouse, is Nancy Spratt.

There is a boy way in the back, right, with a white hat and t-shirt on. I think that is Lew Williams.

And there is a darkhaired woman leaning out, looking down the table. I think that is Betty Schreiber, Robbie's mom.

1963 various candids

Here are some more from 1963. Middle picture on back row the kid in black shirt and black glasses is Danny Clymer. Boy in glasses that is leaning forward beside him is David Hargrave. Bottom picture is Joe Webb standing in front of chapel. He is also in the middle picture sitting on end of first row.

Two 1963 Bible Dramas

The only one we recognize for sure is Dan Clymer as Moses with the stone tablets under his arms.

Christian Worker Week, 1967 maybe?

This Christian Worker's pic has a lot of great people in it. Back row left is Bob Scott and his wife and daughter. Of course you will recognize Dan Clymer and Art Jordan. Just in front of Jordan is Wilber Field (prof from Ozark). Beside him is S. Eward Tesh from Lincoln. In front of them is Dick and Polly Harsh. Down that row is Dan and Mary Diamond. Beside Dan is Violet Lipple. Back of them are the Kellys and Glen Bourne (Pres of St. Louis C C). Wilber Field is teaching the class.

1959 Faculty Student Ball Game

Tom Ewald is the batter. The man leaning against the backstop is Bill Griffin. Charlie Greer in white t-shirt and glasses, second right of the backstop in the background. The little guy watching the game in glasses and black shirt looks like it could be Danny Clymer.

1967 Pre-Hi Chow Lines

Is that Donna Ragel trying to get that first line straight?

Candee Barton on the left in the close line, then two in front of her Gail Frasier, then Mark Thomure looking so stylish in his white shirt and tie! In the second line back on the left 2:3 is Joy Carter. Female faculty on the right is Bev Wagoner, and the man beyond line 3 facing us is Jim Taylor. Cindy Rasler (3:13)is in the 3rd line close to the rear.
I think that is Dan Clymer facing away end of row 4 and Gwen thinks that it is John Heston in front of Danny Clymer! . In picture on the right Marilyn, David and Melanie Bush are in the background.

Christian Athlete Week - 1966?

Dad had this marked as 1960. I don't think so -- back row of 2:1 Lyn Laughlin, 2:2 John Heston, 2:3 Pat Heston 2:5 Dan Clymer; Can anyone out there date for us? Name some other campers? This was taken by Wilson Wiseman. Frank says he has some more, plus some labeled as taken by Tom Ewald. I'm keeping an eye out, how about you?

Kay Wiseman said: Christian Athlete Week was probably 1964-65. 1:5 Marion Henderson; 1:6 Arnold Whitler; 1:8 Dan Dye 2:7 Tim Fry; 2:8 Roger Thomas. I was in school at LCC with Dan, Tim and Roger. Whitler and of course Henderson were professors.

Sandi Heston said: Based on how old my brothers (John and Pat Heston) look, it must have been 1966. John started his Freshman year of High School in Sept. of '66. I'd think he'd have been going into H.S. to attend that week.

It is possible these are shots of a Life Recruit Week. These came from colored negatives that have had some rough treatment. I guess I should be surprised that all these negatives have survived, not only the years, but three moves. - Frank Bush It isn't that color wasn't available, but Frank took most shots in black and white so they could be used in publicity materials, and so it was easier to develop in the basement darkroom at the parsonage in Greenville.

There is a story behind this picture...

Part of the camp history -- the process of identifying the culprit for some event or another. Does anyone know the whole story? Identify some of the campers? Approximate year? Double click on the photo see larger images. Max Whited, dean, is standing on the left.

Sandi Heston Rinderer states: "Mike thinks this may be in preparation for the annual Sadie Hawkins Day Race. By the way, I am the girl in the dark shirt in front in group on left. I think Kay is sitting next to me in a white blouse. The boy on left towards the back, that is looking toward the camera with a hat and sunglasses on, is Danny Clymer (he currently lives has a ministry in New Hampshire.) from the Lansdowne Church and I think the boy next to him, kind of in "front" of him, also wearing a hat, may be Terry O'Dell from Brownstown. I remember that was a year a lot of the guys were wearing hats, for some unknown reason. Some kind of a "guy thing". I believe the year of this pix was probably 1963."
