This photo of G. R. Schrieber (Gilbert) was taken at the beginning of his 6th year at Wood River and served as Dean of Life Recruit Week in 1962

Mr. and Mrs. Sandy Sinclair and little ones. They were serving in Zambia, South Africa according to camp notes. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Gibson.

Danny and Wanda Bowling ministered in Herrick at this time.

Mr. and Mrs. Barton McElroy were missionaries in the Philippines and this portrait was photographed in Manilla. Baron and Gene were brothers.

This 1954 High School group was shot by Wilson Wiseman. This was the year that Frank Bush served as Vesper Speaker. Bushes lived in Catlin at the time. This picture is earlier, maybe 1962, than the popsicle picture. Middle girl is Sandy Schrumpf; plaid pants girl is Judy Ellsworth.

Estimated year: 1964. #2 could be Kay Wiseman, #3 Sandi Heston, #4 is Larry Hostetler, Melissa Sefton #6, #7 is Janet Durbin.

Now this one is a treasure, huh? The After-hours party was probably a week when Gil Schrieber was dean. Dan Williams and Mike Heston in the forground with Gil eating pizza between them. In the background we have Pop Smith, Stuart Couve, and to the far right JW Jordan. Boy in back with wildly patterned shirt is Larry Zumwalt and older man to his left is his dad, Dean Zumwalt. Young boy to right of Mike Heston is Gil's son, Robbie Schrieber
Next to Larry Zumwalt is Francis Grafford, Judy's mother. I think the woman in front of her is Cathy Opperman's mother, Rudy. Gilbert Schrieber was the minister at Wood River, and the Zumwalt's, Grafford's and Opperman's were all members at W.R.

Ruth Schrumpf teaching juniors

Mrs. Schrumpf had her hands full with juniors. Since there are both boys and girls, maybe First Chance week or family camp? 1964?

1964 Junior girls? Probably a little earlier...

Cheryl Lamb is dark-haired girl on far side of first table that is in process of eating and the cute kid to her right (photo left) is Lynne Gurley ... who knew her hair was ever that short! 4th person down from Cheryl is Dolly Black, faculty/helper that week. Diagonal from Cheryl, on opposite side of table, girl with white head band and dress is Mary Motzer. At second table Ruth Schrumpf is seen sitting with kids. Cheryl would have been a Junior in maybe 1959 through 1961, so this is a little earlier than we thought.

I think the dark-haired girl in background to Ron's left is Charlotte Schroeder. Blond girl sitting on ground is Sandy Schrumpf from Greenville. "
